WHAT: HARRIS TEETER "SUPPORT OUR TROOPS" DRIVE

Harris Teeter in Fernandina Beach will be holding a donation card campaign, giving customers the opportunity to donate $1.00, $3.00 or $5.00 to your Greater Jax Area USO by way of a tear sheet at the cash register. Funds raised will help your Greater Jax Area USO continue our support of local military and families.
WHAT: JAXEX RUNWAY 5K
WHEN: SATURDAY, JUNE 8, 2013
WHERE: CRAIG AIRFIELD OFF ATLANTIC BLVD
The Jacksonville Aviation Authority (JAA) will host its inaugural "JAXEX Runway 5K" at Craig Airport on Saturday, June 8th. Net proceeds will benefit The Greater Jax Area USO. The event will feature a 5K run at 7:30AM and a 1-mile "Fun Run" at 8:30AM. A portion of both race courses will include the airport runway at JAXEX. To register, visit www.jaxexrunway5k.com. Register before June 1st for the early bird entry fee of $20 for the 5K and $15 for the "Fun Run." The 5K registration fee will increase to $30 the day of the race...Space is limited.
WHAT: MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT AT ADVENTURE LANDING

TIME: 6-11PM
You must purchase a wristband from either your Mayport or Jax USO and be wearing it to enter the water park. Wristbands are $2.00 each and may be purchased by Active Duty and immediate family members only. Hurry and purchase yours today - they are going fast!
WHAT: MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT AT THE JAX ZOO
WHEN: FRIDAY, JULY 26, 2013 (RAIN DATE)
TIME: 6-9PM
Hold on to those wristbands you have already purchased for the "new" zoo night date of Friday, July 26th. Your Mayport and NAS Jax USOs are sold out of those wristbands. You must be wearing a wristband to enter the Zoo. Children under the age of 2 years old - free. This is a private USO event - annual passes to the Zoo will not get you in.
