JACKSONVILLE SUNS 2014 BASEBALL SEASON- FREE COMMAND BLOCKS-APRIL DATES STILL AVAILABLE

Once again, the Jacksonville Suns AA Baseball Organization (Florida Marlins Affiliate) has teamed with your Greater Jacksonville Area USO for the 2014 season.  With the support of BOEING, we have purchased 18 tickets (1st Base Side, Lower Level) for each home game during this year’s 70-game season.  The intent of these free tickets is for use as acommand social, evenly spread out throughout all ranks, with the hope of fostering unity and morale. See attached schedule and below procedures for submitting a command/unit “Block Request” for a particular game.

Procedures for requesting a Game Day Block of 18 tickets:

Requests for a command/unit block may be submitted via email tolquinn@usojax.com (NAS JAX) orpam@usojax.com (Mayport) by CO/OIC, XO and CMC/SEA only.  In the event a command/unit is on an extended deployment overseas (3 months or longer) a Command Ombudsman or FRG President may submit a block request for a spouse social.  With each block request, please provide 2 dates for a game your group would like to see.  We will review block reservations to ensure another unit/command has not already reserved that particular date.  If there are any conflicts, Greater Jacksonville Area USO will contact the command/unit POC to propose alternate date(s).

Information required on your email Block Request:  Requestor (rank/name, command/unit spelled out), military installation (Kings Bay, Mayport, etc.), primary and alternate game date(s) requested, Command/Spouse Group Point of Contact, phone/email info.  Greater Jacksonville Area USO will notify commands/units soonest for planning purposes, but no later than two weeks prior to the game.
