Providing our extensive range of services to our military and their families requires a great deal of help. Although we are an affiliate of USO World headquarters, we receive no operational funding for local activities from our parent organization. We also receive no federal funding. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we rely solely on the generosity of local individuals, corporations, charities and foundations. But our task is large, and our coffers are often small. We raise our own funds locally and—perhaps most important—all donations serve the local military community.
Of course, our work takes people as well as money. We are grateful for the hundreds of devoted volunteers who, combined, donate thousands of hours of their time each year helping to bridge the gap between the civilian and the military communities. Thanks to them, we are able to provide assistance, community information and outstanding recreational activities to those who give so much to our nation in defense of our freedom.
